At Bammel Middle School, we have very high expectations for our band students.  We care a great deal about the success of our students, and because of this, we require that they use instruments that allow them to experience their fullest potential. 

Different brands of instruments have different sound characteristics.  They also have different levels of functionality.  Some simply work and sound better than others.  The instruments that we use at Bammel are chosen because they are well-proven brands and models that provide a superior level of performance for both beginner and advanced students.

Step-Up Instruments:  After the first year or so, students can become limited by the sound and technical capabilities of their instrument.  At that time, it becomes necessary to begin looking at step-up instruments.  Step-up instruments are instruments that will allow the student to continue their musical growth into advanced high school performance levels and, depending on the instrument, beyond high school.  Our choices for step-up instruments at Bammel are based on superior quality, reliability and value. 

DO NOT PURCHASE A STEP-UP INSTRUMENT WITHOUT DISCUSSING IT WITH YOUR TEACHER FIRST.  THESE INSTRUMENTS ARE MAJOR INVESTMENTS AND WE WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS PROCESS.
